Bookings now being taken for the Albrighton Sports Complex Summer Fair on Sunday 14 June
After an extensive rennovation program which include the re-newing of the green edging boards, the Club and Green will re-open on Sunday 22 March in time for the Scottish Cup which is the Mens v Womens challenge match which and the start of the league season which will commence from 3 April. Due to the renovation of the Kitchen area within the Pavillion access may be restricted and use of the toilets will need to be via the coridor side door.

The 2026 season will see the club fielding a third team within the Mid-Shropshire Senior Citizens League. Club Secretary Steve Wall says this third team goes a long way to accomodate the 27 bowlers who indicated their desire to play on Wednesday afternoons. The afternoon fixtures will see both the B & C teams playing at home at the same time, with a revised start time of 1:00 pm.

The Clubs AGM will take place on Friday 6 March commencing at 6:30pm.

Hydration is Key: Ensure you stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Please avoid dehydrating beverages such as alcohol and caffeinated drinks.
Seek Shade and Protect Yourself: Whenever possible, remain in the shade. Try to avoid strenuous physical exertion during the hottest parts of the day. Always remember to wear a hat and apply sun cream.
Revised rules from the BCGBA revision meeting held in January are summerised below.
• The National Development Strategy was approved with an overwhelming majority. This will see the introduction of a £1 per player, per Club 'Annual Development Fee' being introduced. This money, which will be ringfenced, will go directly to expenditure highlighted within the BCGBA National Development Strategy, to support grassroots Clubs to grow and develop. The 'Annual Development Fee' will be for a minimum of 3 years, and will be reported on annually.
• Clarification within the Laws of the Sport that any bowl travelling over a footer must be returned.
• Introduction of a maximum weight of a bowl. This has been set at 3lb.
• Clarification within the Laws of the Sport that a disturbed bowl should be treated the same as a disturbed jack (as per existing law).
• Nicotine inhalers have been added to the list of devices that cannot be used on the green during play (unless there is a medical exemption).
• Clarification that players will not be allowed to play in bare or stocking feet.
