Albrighton Bowling Club Code of Conduct

All users of Albrighton Sports Complex have the right to use the facilities free from harassment and intimidation. As a Club we share our facility with other organisations who have members that are under 18 years of age, who are classed as vulnerable, therefore we all have a duty of care towards them to ensure that they can use the Complex site which is free from intimidation, harassment, bullying and coercion.

As a member of Albrighton Bowling Club you are also a member of Albrighton Sports Complex who are the legal owners of the facility, therefore whilst on the premises you will be expected to respect the other users of the Complex whether they are members or visitors from another team.

You are also members of various teams, you are therefore expected to be supportive of the relevant team captains, who without, we are unable to participate in the various leagues that we are associated to.

You will be expected to follow the guidelines below.

·      Adhere to the rules and guidelines of both Albrighton Bowling Club and Albrighton Sports Complex.

·      Never engage in offensive, insulting or abusive language.

·      Never engage in bullying, intimidation or harassment.

·      Never be confrontational towards any Bowling Club or Sports Complex committee members, officials or team captains.

·      Respect the views and opinions of others.

·      Adhere to the Laws of the game that you are participating in.

·      Display and promote high standards of behaviour.

·      Encourage Fair Play.

Process of Complaint

There are going to be times when members have concerns and issues within the Club, these need to be put in writing by email or letter to the Bowls Club secretary who will raise these under correspondence at the next Committee meeting so that they can be discussed and actioned appropriately, whether by the Bowls Club or Complex Committee.

Any member in breach of this Code of Conduct maybe prevented from using the Sports Complex facilities including the Bowling Club, for a period of time or indefinitely as determined by either the Bowling Club or Sports Complex committee.
